Who is Blind Sports Organization?
BSO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) statewide community service organization. We promote and provide sports and recreational opportunities for youth and adults who are blind and visually impaired. We encourage and assist communities and schools with the development of equal fitness, recreation, sport, and social opportunities for those with sensory and/or physical disabilities. We offer some instruction, practice, and competition in various international sports (see list here) plus other recreational activities through clinics, chapters, and partners.

We are searching for groups or individuals to create additional chapters, sports clubs, or partnerships. Since 1987, we have hosted the Northeast-Davidow Games, an annual multi-state, multi-sport weekend of competitions and instructional clinics for youth and adults. We also help train and support individuals and teams who wish to aim for national and international competition. In fact, our men's Goalball team was the 1999, 2000, 2002 & 2004 National Champions, and 3 PABA athletes qualified to participate in the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, Australia, also 3 athletes participated in the 2002 World Goalball Championships in Brazil, and1 Athlete participated in the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece.
